Barely two months after the body of missing man Shakeel Ahmed Awan, 24, was recovered from Power Canal at Panzin area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, his sister Waheeda, was found dead in a same manner near the said canal.
The body of the deceased Wahida Akhtar, 25, daughter of Mohd Alam Awan of Satrina area in Kangan was recovered near the penstock of power canal of Kangan Powerhouse in Kangan. Wahida was missing from her home since September 26.
Pertinently, in May this year, Shakeel’s body was found dead in the same place, and later with the help of locals, police took the body for the medico legal-formalities.
Shakeel was missing since July 9, 2018.
