SRINAGAR
One person died while twenty five others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, a police statement said on Friday.
A LP 407 vehicle bearing registration number JK01F- 4009 hit a motor cycle bearing registration number JK01U-3813 driven by Ashraf Ali Bhat resident of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Kuchmulla, Tral at Pandith Bagh, Srinagar resulting in injuries to motorcyclist. The injured succumbed to his injuries while on way to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, a police Gypsy bearing registration number JK02AG -4357 on way from Baramulla to Srinagar rammed into a parked tractor trolley at Chanabal, Mirgund Baramulla, resulting in injuries to 04 police personnel. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
In another accident, a Santro car bearing registration number JK04B-6332 hit a motor cycle at Char-e-Sharif, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Reyaz Ahmad resident of Chrawni. He was shifted Sub District Hospital, Char-e-Sharif for treatment.
In another accident, a Army vehicle of 29 RR turned turtle near Kreeri, resulting in injuries to 06 Army Jawans. All the injured were shifted to Army Hospital Hyderbeigh, Pattan for treatment.
In another accident, a picnic bus bearing registration number JK02Q/8583 of Akmal School Tral turned turtle near Rafting Point Pahalgam, resulting in injuries to 03 students and a teacher. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Islamabad for treatment.
A Maruti Alto bearing registration number DN09E/1992 hit and injured a pedestrian Athar Rasool Sheikh son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh resident of Handwara near irrigation Lift Station Natnussa, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
A police 407 vehicle on way from Gagal to Sogam skidded off the road at Gagal, Lalpora resulting in injuries to 08 police personnel. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment where from three of them were shifted to SKIMS Soura and Bone & Joint Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
A Maruti car bearing registration number JK01T/1672 driven by Mushtaq Ahmed Wani son of Abdul Ahad Wani resident of Preng Kangan hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Sultan Parray son of Abdul Ahad resident of Preng at Preng. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kangan for treatment.
