Fire Damages Residential Houses, Bear Injures 8 in Baramullah

SRINAGAR

Fire broke out in the house of Nisar Ahmad Mir resident of Warnow, Lalpora Kupwara, resulting in injuries to Arshid Nisar son of Nisar Ahmad Mir and Abdul Hamid son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kupwara for treatment, a police statement said on Friday.

In another incident, fire broke out in the wooden shop of Mohammad Shafi Wani son of Abdul Aziz resident of Tral Which engulfed the nearby three storied shop of Mohammad Altaf Chadroo son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Tral Bala resulting in damage to both the shops. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and police, the statement said.

Meanwhile in an attack by wild Bear in North Kashmir’s Baramullah eight persons were injured.

“Eight persons including an official of Wild Life Department was injured when a bear attacked them at Takiangan, Boniyar. Wild Life Baramulla has launched operation to capture the bear.
