Two persons died and five others were injured in a road accident in Awantipora Saturday morning. A police statement said.
It added that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09/5813 on way from Jammu to Srinagar met an accident near Gurdawara, Awantipora, with an unknown vehicle, resulting in on spot death of Mohammad Sultan Mir son of Mohammad Gulzar Mir resident of Batpora, Kralpora, Kupwara and Mohammad Khalil Mir son of Mehda Mir resident of Rawatpora, Kupwara and injuries to five other persons.
Awantipora Police has registered a case in this regard.
