During the intervening night of February 21 and 22, fire broke out in the shop in Kupwara and in a hotel in Gulmarg, police said on Friday.
The fire broke out in the shop of Shaheen Ahmed Kumar son of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Sogam at Sogam, Kupwara, which engulfed to two adjacent shops, resulting in complete damage to one shop and partial damage to other two.
Police says the cause of fire is being ascertained. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another incident during the intervening night of February 21 and 22, fire broke out in a hut consisting of eight rooms of Hotel Nedose, Gulmarg, resulting in damage to the hut. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
