An infant died while another infant was injured in a road accident in Awantipora this afternoon, Police said.
An accident took place between a Tipper bearing registration number JK03C-0865 and a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01A-6735 on National Highway Barsoo, Awantipora, resulting in injuries to 2 infants both daughters of Abdul Qayoom Khan resident of Badroo Achabal. The injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment where one of the infant succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard.
