SRINAGAR: At least 11 individuals were injured when the vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident at Dayala on the Kalakote-Rajouri road on Thursday.
According to a police statement, the accident occurred on Thursday evening when an Ecco vehicle with the registration number JK12B-5276, en route from Kalakote to Rajouri, collided with a roadside crash barrier at Dayala.
In the aftermath of the accident, officials reported that 11 people sustained injuries. They were promptly transported to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Kalakote, and subsequently, two of the injured were transferred to the GMC Associated Hospital in Rajouri.
The injured individuals have been identified as follows: Mohd Ayoub (70), son of Sajawal Khan; Shamshad Begum (55), wife of Mohammad Ayoub; Danish Khan (20), son of Mohd Ayoub Khan; Zahin Khan, son of Shafat Khan; Rukshar (36), wife of Mohd Tariq; Rukhsana Begum (45), wife of Aslam Khan; Rashida Begum (55), wife of Nazir Hussain; Mohd Tariq (42), son of Ghulam Haider; Toiba Khanam (22), daughter of Mehmood Khan; Mobin Khan (6), son of Yasir Khan; and Uzma Kouser (7), daughter of Mohd Tariq. All of them are residents of Bufliaz Surankote. (KNO)
