SRINAGAR: The Union Territory of Ladakh administration has ordered the transfer and posting of 12 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers, while relieving four others who had been recalled to Jammu and Kashmir.
The orders were issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Monday under Order No. 432-LA(GAD) of 2026, following the placement of the officers’ services at the disposal of the Ladakh administration on deputation and their subsequent joining in the UT.
Mohammad Yousf Ganaie has been posted as Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kargil, against an available vacancy.
Ghulam Mohd, who was serving as Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kargil, has been appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil. He will also continue to hold the charges of ADDC, Kargil, and Chief Executive Officer, Kargil Development Authority, in addition to his own duties until further orders.
Shabir Hussain, who was serving as ADC, Kargil, has been relieved of that charge.
Saqib Sharief Khan has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Commissioner/Secretary, Revenue Department, UT of Ladakh.
Jasif Amin Sheikh has been posted as District Panchayat Officer, Leh, and Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Leh, in additional charge.
Sadam Hussain has been posted as Tehsildar, Zanskar, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Zanskar, in additional charge.
Shivam Sharma has been posted as Under Secretary to the Administration, Hospitality and Protocol Department, while Ayush Sharma has been posted as Tehsildar, Nyoma, and SDM, Nyoma, in additional charge.
Zahoor Ahmad Hadi has been posted as Under Secretary to the Administration in the Higher Education Department and the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department.
Mohd Anjum has been posted as Tehsildar, Durbuk, and SDM, Durbuk, in additional charge.
Aju Kundal has been posted as Under Secretary to the Administration in the Tourism and Culture Department.
Sarwar Shahzad, who was serving as SDM, Zanskar, has been posted as Tehsildar, Sankoo, and SDM, Sankoo, in additional charge.
The order also relieves four JKAS officers from their duties in Ladakh with immediate effect and directs them to report to the General Administration Department of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. They are Mohd Ismail Ganie, Sanjat Bhardwaj, Tufail Iqbal and Waseem Ramzan Dar.
The four officers had been recalled under the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s Order No. 1443-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated August 25.
