SRINAGAR: A 16-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bhatidhar area of Mendhar in Poonch district on Friday.
Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that the deceased has been identified as Rabia Kouser, daughter of Mohd Mahroof, resident of Bhatidhar, Mendhar.
Soon after the incident, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Sub District Hospital Mendhar for postmortem and other medico-legal formalities.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation to ascertain the cause of death.
