17 Yatris Injured in Bus Collision on Srinagar-Jammu Highway

   

SRINAGAR: At least 17 Amarnath Yatris were injured after three buses collided on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) near the Khudwani crossing in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.

“The accident occurred when one of the buses, bearing registration number MT41ZD 7546, reportedly lost control and hit two other vehicles, registered as MP44ZD 7717 and JK2Y 0798. The injured were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment,” officials said.

“All the injured Yatris have minor injuries except two patients who suffered head injuries. Both have been sent for CT scans, and reports are awaited,” they said.

The condition of the remaining injured is stable, the official added.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
