The bodies of two persons have been recovered after a boat capsized here in Nigeen lake amid windstorm on Tuesday.
Police said a boat carrying five persons including boatman capsized after it was caught in a windstorm in the lake.
They said that there were five passengers in the boat; out of which three were rescued however two of them tragically drowned.
They said the bodies have been retrieved after hectic efforts.
The deceased persons have been identified as Sajad Ahmad of Hafiz bagh and Umar lalpuri of EllahiBagh area of Srinagar.
“They had gone to attend a marriage function in a small boat. However, their boat capsized.”
