As Kashmir is observing the anniversary of the devastative deluge that hit valley last year in September, over an half an hour film, “September Himalayan Floods” was screened at Kashmir University Thursday afternoon.

The film has been directed by Educational Multi Media Research Centre (EEMRC) Director, Dr Shahid Rasool while, Inam Ur Rehman has co-produced it with the director.

The University of Kashmir Vice Chancellor, Dr Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi presided over the panel discussion after the screening was screened. Prof Shakeel A Romshoo, Er Latief Ahmad from I&FC and Chief Town Planner, Iftikar Hakeem were amongst the panellists who discussed and answered what had happened which caused the floods.

Commenting on what had happened wrong, Dr K I Andrabi on the occasion said that when man tried to be smart, even smarter, nature takes the path of revenge. “We all are responsible as commoners,” he added.
