SRINAGAR: A 23-year-old youth died after being found unconscious in Srinagar on Monday, officials said.
According to officials, a police party from Police Post Fateh Kadal shifted the youth to SMHS Hospital in an unconscious condition. However, doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Danish Nazir Shah, son of Nazir Ahmad Shah, a resident of Model Town, Sopore, who was currently residing at Nagbal, Ganderbal.
Police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death. The body has been taken into custody for completion of medico-legal formalities, and further investigation is underway. (KNT)
