Under Cash Assistance Programme, J&K Yateem Foundation in partnership with European Commission Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) and Save the Children distributed Rs 18.85 Lacs among 61 partially and wholly affected poor and deserving conflict affected young persons including one girl of district Srinagar, at a function at BAIT-UL-HILAL, Jawahar Nagar, here on Thursday.
Earlier on February 25, SDM Sopore Dr Mohammad Hanief and Principal Degree College (Boys), Sopore Prof Mohammad Ashraf and Traders Federation Sopore President Mohammad Ashraf Ganai distributed cheques amounting to Rs 11.13 Lacs among 38 including 03 female beneficiaries of district Baramulla, at Degree College Sopore under Cash Assistance Programme.
As per a statement J&K Yateem Foundation has scheduled another cheque distribution function wherein an amount of Rs 7.54 Lacs shall be distributed among 24 beneficiaries, at Budgam on March 02 under the same programme.
Patron Syed Abdul Hamid & Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Rather, distributed cheques among affected youth.
Pertinently, under Cash Assistance Programme, 18 beneficiaries including one girl have received cash assistance of Rs 2.70 Lacs during year 2011. Similarly, during 2012 an amount of Rs 21.40 Lacs has been disbursed by cheques among 68 such beneficiaries including 04 females in Kashmir valley, under the said programme.
