Twenty-six persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley, a police said on Monday.

As per a statement 21 persons were injured when a Tata 407 passenger vehicle bearing registration number Jk01J/9327, they were travelling in, turned turtle at Mirgund near Vidiyalya School. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.

In another accident, an unknown Scorpio hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohammad Shah resident of Poibugh at KP road. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment read the statement.

Adding a Tata Sumo hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01P/0319 near Grid station Beerwah, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.

In another accident a Tanker bearing registration number Jk02R/2783 turned turtle near a fish pound in Sonamarg resulting in injuries to Harban Singh resident of Jammu. The injured has been admitted to a local hospital.

The statement informed that an Alto car bearing registration number JK05A/3486 collided with a Tanker bearing registration number JK02A/4570 at Lewdoora, resulting in injuries to two persons who were travelling in the car. Both the injured have been shifted to Hospital for treatment.
