Coming heavily on drug peddlers, administration has detained 34 drug peddlers detained under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) during recently conducted drive.
This information was given by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir here on Wednesday, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The Divisional Commissioner has directed the all District Magistrates of the valley to intensify checks against the drug menace and stressed on need of create mass awareness regarding ill effects of substance abuse which he said dangerous for the society.
He appealed the youth of the valley to stay away from drug abuse which can be detrimental for their health and future. He said all stakeholders have to put in synergized efforts to root out the menace from this valley of Sufi’s and Saints.
