SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing severe restrictions owing to lockdown imposed for 34 hours amid rising Covi-d19 cases.

The Corona curfew started at 8 pm Saturday and will remain in force till 6 m on Monday.

The said government forces have put barricades on roads at many places across summer capital Srinagar along with restrictions on the movement of people in other district headquarters as well.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday had announced a complete “corona curfew” in the Union Territory.

On April 8, the administration had ordered the imposition of a night curfew from 10 pm to 6 am in the urban areas of eight districts of Jammu and Kashmir which was later extended to municipal and urban local body limits of all the 20 districts in the Union Territory on April 20.
