SRINAGAR: A man sustained burn injuries after being struck by lightning in the Wani Doursa area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
Reports said the incident took place during inclement weather when lightning struck the area, injuring Showkat Khursheed Mir (45), son of Khursheed Ahmad Mir, a resident of Wani Doursa.
The injured suffered burns on his leg, abdomen and left arm.
Local residents immediately reached the spot and shifted him to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sogam for treatment.
Hospital sources said the patient has been admitted and is under observation, with doctors monitoring his condition.
