SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) on Tuesday successfully conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to M.Sc Nursing courses for the academic session 2026–27, with 447 candidates appearing at centres in Srinagar and Jammu.
The examination was held at S.P. College, M.A. Road, Srinagar, for candidates from the Kashmir Division and at Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu, for candidates from the Jammu Division.
BOPEE officials said elaborate arrangements had been put in place to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the entrance test. The arrangements were made in coordination with the administrations of the host colleges and law enforcement agencies under the guidance of BOPEE Chairperson Professor Minu Mahajan.
The examination was conducted under strict supervision by officials and staff deployed at both centres, with no reports of misconduct, unfair means or any other irregularity during the test.
Senior BOPEE functionaries, including the Chairperson, Board Members, Secretary, Controller of Examinations and other officials, actively monitored the conduct of the examination at both centres to ensure adherence to prescribed norms and procedures.
The Board appreciated the support extended by the staff of the participating institutions and officials deployed under the overall supervision of the respective Deputy Commissioners, whose coordination helped facilitate the successful conduct of the entrance examination.
The Common Entrance Test is a key component of the admission process for postgraduate nursing programmes in Jammu and Kashmir and determines eligibility for admission to M.Sc Nursing courses for the 2026–27 academic session.
