JKAS Officers Appointed to Probe Charges Against Former LCMA Engineer

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered an inquiry into charges against Amir Farooq Kuttay, an Assistant Engineer who was posted with the Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), by appointing a senior Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service officer to conduct the proceedings.

The Housing and Urban Development Department issued Government Order No. 185-JK(HUD) of 2026 on September 3, 2026, under Rule 33 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.

Under the order, Shabir Hussain Bhat, JKAS, Vice Chairman of the Srinagar Development Authority, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer to examine the charges levelled against Kuttay.

Muneer Ahmad Khan, JKAS, Secretary of the Lake Conservation and Management Authority, has been designated as the Presenting Officer and will assist the Inquiry Officer during the proceedings.

The government has directed the Inquiry Officer to submit his report and findings within 30 days from the date of issuance of the order.

The order was issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department and signed by Mandeep Kaur, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
