SRINAGAR: A 47-year-old man from Heerpora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district lost his life after falling from a tree on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
Sources said that the deceased has been identified as Waseem Sheikh, a resident of Heerpora. Waseem was injured after he accidentally fell from a tree in his native village, they said.
He was initially shifted to District Hospital Shopian and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialised treatment. However, upon arrival at SMHS, doctors declared him brought dead, they said.
Cognisance of the incident has been taken and further investigation started. (JKNS)
