SRINAGAR

Five persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley. A police statement said on Monday.

The statement said that an unidentified Maruti Car hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01K/0720 at Peer Bagh, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Aqib Ahmad Kumar, age 16 years, son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Rawalpora, Srinagar and two pillion mates. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

 A Santro Car bearing registration number JK22/2926 driven by Habibullah Beigh son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Aalochi Bagh, Srinagar collided with a Tipper bearing registration number JK01G/6879 at Sangam near petrol pump, in Islamabad district. The Tipper driver Ashiq Hussain Wagey son of Mohammad Ramzan resident of Zawoora, Shopian and Saima, age about 14 years, daughter of  Gulzar Ahmad Mir resident of Aaloochi Bagh, Srinagar who was travelling in the Santro were injured in the mishap. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

 A Motorcycle bearing registration number JK03/8172 hit and injured a pedestrian Mst. Qasim Jan age 73 years, resident of Thamankote, Dooru at Sarnal K.P Road ,Islamabad. The injured lady was shifted to hospital where from she has been referred to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.
