Fire broke out in Civil Secretariat Jammu, on Friday and the flames were seen coming out of the Cooperative Branch of the Civil Secretariat, official sources said.
They added that fire tenders were called immediately and the flames were timely doused.
Officials said that the swift action prevented the fire from spreading.
Fire and Emergency Services sources said that some the files were gutted in the fire.
“Cause of the fire was not immediately known, officials said.
