Bureaucrats have been joining parties like National Conference, PDP and Congress but on Friday, a former bureaucrat, Sheikh Mohammad Ayoub joined Awami Ittihad Party (AIP), led by independent lawmaker Er Rashid.
Former KAS officer Ayoub has served as Director Land Management, Deputy Com. Sales Tax, SDM Ganderbal and SDM Srinagar.
Hailing from Eidgah Srinagar, Ayoub according to a statement issued by AIP, joined the party along with his many colleagues, at Party Headquarters in Rajbagh.
“Ayoub has throughout his carrier been held with high esteem for his honesty, dedication and integrity,” the statement said.
According to the statement speaking on the occasion Ayoub said, “I have been deeply impressed and influenced by the manifesto of the AIP and it is high time for the intellectual class to come forward and join the party in order to ensure a better tomorrow for the Kashmiri nation which has seen nothing beyond miseries, misfortunes and mis governance.”
Welcoming Ayoub in his party, Er Rashid said that Ayoub’s integrity and a very clean service carrier will definitely encourage good people from every corner of the state to come forward and join AIP.
