Senior separatist leader and patron Mahaz-i-Azadi, Muhammad Azam Inqalabi Friday said that no Hurriyat leader whosoever he may be is in a position to reprimand any other leader. He told Srinagar based news gathering agency CNS that in recent past Hurriyat committed series of blunders and if this continued then people in Kashmir will certainly get disillusioned from the ongoing freedom movement.
Azam Inqalabi said that the biggest blunder committed by Hurriyat Conference (M) is that it has already rejected the consultative forum. “Instead of consulting each other, Hurriyat leaders take decisions in personal capacity. The stalemate between different freedom groups in Kashmir has caused considerable anxiety to common people,” he said.
Reacting over the development Mirwaiz Umar Farooq directing the amalgam Convener in Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) not to entertain the leaders and representatives who decided to “tread a separate path and left the Hurriyat on their own, Azam Inqalabi said that it would have been better for Mirwaiz to keep mum. “Top leaders should always keep their tongue in control and should consult others before taking any step or decision,” he said adding that accusations and allegations leveled against each other always have negative impact on the ongoing freedom movement.
He said that a particular person should not consider himself lone leader of people. “We must not forget there are leaders who made every sacrifice to keep this freedom movement alive. A particular group or leader have no right to hijack this sacred movement. You can’t reject Syed Ali Geelani or any other leader if they are not a part Mirwaiz’s Hurriyat,” Inqalabi said.
Reacting over the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s step directing PaK convener not to entertain the leaders who are not part of APHC (M), Inqalabi said that the step is aimed to divert the attention of the people from the main issue. “The development implies that there is no breakthrough in dialogue between and Pakistan on Kashmir issue and now Pakistan with the help of others want to divert the attention of the people,” he said.
He said that unity and objectivity will only lead us towards our common goal which is to free people of Kashmir from the bondage of India.
