Lok Sabha was on Wednesday informed that 65 militants were killed by forces in Jammu and Kashmir during last year.
Defence Minister, AK Antony told the House that there were 541 attempts of infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir during last two years.
“In 2012 and 2013, there have been 541 infiltration attempts in J&K,” Antony said adding “During 2013, 65 militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir by Indian Army.”
Antony also clarified that no Pakistani soldier was apprehended on the LoC in 2013. However, on February 14, last year, one Pakistan Army soldier was killed while intruding across the LoC in the Naushera sector.
