SRINAGAR: A 69-year-old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, died on Wednesday afternoon after falling unconscious at the Panjtarni base camp in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Officials said the deceased has been identified as Kalpana, who was found unconscious in a washroom at the camp. She was immediately shifted to the Base Hospital Panjtarni, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated all necessary medico-legal formalities. (JKNS)
