Out of 7674 candidates who had applied for Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2015), about 86.5 per cent appeared in the entrance examination at the Srinagar centre on June 6 and 7 respectively for admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes offered by the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) and other fellow Universities across India.

The Central Universities of Kashmir, Jammu, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu were the participating varsities for the entrance test, which was conducted at different centres at the University of Kashmir.

The programmes offered by the Central University of Kashmir included: Integrated B.A LLB (5-year-course; Postgraduate programmes in Information Technology, English, Urdu, Tourism Management, Convergent Journalism, Mathematics, Economics, Education, Political Science, LLM and M.Ed;  integrated BS.- MSc:  Physics, Zoology and Biotechnology;  integrated MPhil/PhD in Management Studies, Education, English and  Tourism Management, Economics and Mathematics;  PhD. in Law and Postgraduate Diploma courses in Information Security & E-Governance, Cyber Forensics, & e-Governance, Online Journalism,  Human Rights & Social Justice , Aviation & Hospitality Management and Guidance & Counselling.

The CUK and University of Kashmir officers and their allied staff were actively involved in the examination process which was hassle free, smooth and fair.

Prof. A S Bhat, Controller of Examination, University of Kashmir, was the chief superintendent while as Dr Nazir A Gilkar, was the CU observer of the examination. The centres were located at different departments of the University of Kashmir.
