Musa in an audio message that has gone viral on social media, after paying rich tributes to Abu Dujana and Arif Lelhari says: “In the making of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, they played a key role and became first martyrs of this Jihad movement.”

Zakir Musa was named as the head of a newly created al-Qaida cell, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind early last week.

The successor of teenage rebel commander Burhan Wani, killed in July last year, Musa stepped down as Hizib chief commander in Kashmir in May after his statement against the separatist leaders was considered as his personal opinion by the Hizib leadership and witnessed widespread condemnation.

Musa had earlier released a video message, asking people not to “fall for nationalism”.

Abu Dujana who was operating in Kashmir from last seven years was one of the most wanted militants, who raised as LeT’s Kashmir commander, carrying 15 lakhs rupees reward on his head.

Musa, in the audio clip of about two minutes duration also says that “When Dujana joined us, the so called bosses of Jihad in Pakistan placed a number of hurdles for him.”

He termed the slain duo as “Mard-e-Hurr”, fighting for one God.
