SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught an official of the Geology and Mining Department red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 in Ganderbal district.
“Ghulam Mustafa Malik, a resident of Sada Kadal, Srinagar, and currently posted as In-charge of the Geology and Mining Department in the Safapora zone of Ganderbal, was apprehended at Manasbal,” officials said.
“Acting on a specific complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught the accused official while accepting the bribe money,” they said.
An investigation is underway. (JKNS)
