The latest killings occurred as people assembled for aid near sites run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), backed by Israel and the United States. The head of UNRWA has earlier described the aid points as a “death trap.”

Medical sources told Al Jazeera that at least 25 people were killed on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza, with over 140 injured, including 62 in critical condition. Additional casualties were reported across Gaza, including 21 deaths elsewhere in the territory.

Footage verified by Al Jazeera’s Sanad agency showed bodies arriving at al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat refugee camp. Similar scenes were reported at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis following alleged Israeli fire on people waiting for aid on al-Tina Street.

In Gaza City and Rafah, more casualties were reported at aid sites. Al Jazeera’s correspondent said emergency wards, including at al-Shifa Hospital, were overwhelmed, with several people dying while awaiting treatment.
