SRINAGAR

JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yaseen Malik

After National Conference’s patron Dr Farooq Abdullah visited the daily wagers on ‘fast unto death’ inside Srinagar’s Pratap Park Tuesday morning, JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik too turned up to express his solidarity with the disgruntled lot.

As per the onlookers, Malik visited the makeshift tent housing the protesters inside the park and sat and expressed solidarity with the employees.

Earlier, Abdullah visited protesting daily wagers from different departments seeking regularization of their services, and interacted with them.

Pertinently, around 60,000 daily and casual workers engaged in 1994 are awaiting regularisation of services for the past many years. On Tuesday, Congress lawmakers tried to disrupt the proceedings of ongoing autumn session of JK Assembly demanding regularization of daily wagers and casual labourers.
