SRINAGAR: All government and private schools across Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district will remain closed on Saturday in view of prevailing inclement weather conditions, officials said.
The closure was ordered by the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Doda, as a precautionary measure to safeguard students and staff. The decision follows directions issued by the Deputy Commissioner (District Development Commissioner), Doda, and continues the weather advisory already in force.
Schools have, however, been directed to conduct online classes according to their prescribed timetables so that academic activities continue during the physical closure.
The district administration has advised schools, students and parents to follow the prevailing advisory and cooperate with the authorities in view of the weather conditions.
