All Schools in Leh Ordered Shut for Two Days Amid Security Concerns

   

SRINAGAR: In view of the prevailing situation and in accordance with directions from the Hon’ble Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), the District Magistrate of Leh has ordered the closure of all government and private schools in the district for the next two days.

The order, issued on Thursday, applies to all educational institutions operating within the Leh District, regardless of management type. The decision comes as a precautionary measure amid heightened alertness across the region.

“All are requested to remain vigilant and contact 112 for any emergency,” the District Magistrate stated in the public advisory.

Earlier, the education minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Sakina Itoo, announced closure of all educational institutions for two days in Jammu and Kashmir.
