As the lower house of the state legislature shut its business after opposition demanded discussion on beef ban and flood rehabilitation issues, the upper house too was adjourned for ten minutes following the ruckus by the opposition MLCs.

As the upper house of the state legislature Monday resumed business, the opposition MLCs stood up from their seats and raised anti-government slogans.

The opposition MLCs led by those of NC and Congress were asking the chairperson Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali, to discuss beef ban issue and flood rehabilitation.

The chairperson Legislative Council appealed the opposition members to allow the house to proceed with the business.

As the MLCs who belonged to government started discussion, the Opposition MLCs moved to Well of the house.

Carrying banners of ‘beef ban’ and ‘flood rehabilitation’, they tore apart the stationary and flung it in the air.

“Modi-Mufti Hai Hai, RSS Agenda Nai Chalayga, Nai Chalayga, Nai Chalayga,” were the slogans raised by the opposition MLCs.
