SRINAGAR: An Army man drowned in the Kishanganga River near Tarbal village in Gurez area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Ashiq Hussain Khan.
Following the incident, a rescue operation was launched, and his body was retrieved from the river.
The body was later shifted to Dawar Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police have registered a case to ascertain the circumstances leading to the drowning. (KNT)
