44 Rashtriya Rifles on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Col R S Bazad celebrated the blissful festival with the children of Bal Ashram, Pinjoura.
“Sharing the joy and happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr the event commenced with the special Eid prayer by the children of the Bal Ashram,” a statement said.
“On behalf of Chinar Corps, Brigadier K Venugopal convey wishes and heartfelt greetings to the children by distributing Eidi and gifts, and also prayed to the Almighty Allah that Eid-ul-Fitr marking the end of the holy month of Ramzan may bestow with it unity, happiness and a feeling of brotherhood which leads to the path of prosperity and tranquility,” the statement added.
“Brigadier K Venugopal, Commander 12 Sector, who was chief guest on the occassion encouraged the children to excel in all the phases of life and also gave a promise to provide full hearted assistance to the children and the Ashram in all spheres,” it further said.
“The event concluded with the distribution of sweets. Tears of joy were visible in eyes of young kids of Bal Ashram as they see their extended family in Army.”
