Treasury benches and opposition may fight in state house but they were united in the house of God Saturday. Their prayers may differ but the venue is the same.
Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his predecessor Omar Abdullah offered Eid prayers together today at Dargah.
They exchanged Eid greetings while the devotees looked on.
An official spokesperson said that after offering Nimaz, Mufti Sayeed interacted with the people and shared Eid greetings and extended good wishes to them.
“The Chief Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of the state.”
Later, a large number of people visited the Chief Minister’s residence here to convey their Eid greetings. The Chief Minister reciprocated and shared their felicitation, the spokesperson added.
“Those who visited the Chief Minister’s residence included Ministers, Legislators, public representatives, government officers, prominent citizens, social workers, political activists and common people.
Mufti Sayeed received them warmly and wished all of them well-being and prosperity.”
