Veteran Hurriyat leader, Khan Sopori’s property seize issue was raised in lower house of J&K State Legislature on Saturday.
Langate lawmaker, Er Sheikh Abdul Rasheed during discussion on grants, asked government to return the property of Gh Mohammad Khan Sopori.
Khan Sopori is a long-time associate of Hurriyat patriarch, Syed Ali Geelani. A few years ago, J&K Government had seized and sealed his home at Chanapora “anti-India” activities.
“An aged and ailing Khan Sopori sahab is living on road,” Rasheed told the house, “please take immediate steps and return his property so that he and his family lives a dignified life.”
Rasheed also took up the issue of JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik’s detention.
