“Transfer of power projects is an important part of the developmental agenda of BJP-PDP coalition government… the state will work with the Union Government to, inter alia, explore modalities for transfer of Dulhasti and Uri hydro power projects to J&K as suggested by the Rangarajan Committee Report and the Round Table reports,” a written reply to Communist lawmaker, M Y Tarigami, by power minister said.

More so, the government said that it has engaged a consultant to quantify the losses suffered by J&K on account of Indus Water Treaty (IWT). It further informed that JKSPDC is processing the cost of J&K power projects managed by NHPC.
