In view of the creation of new administrative units in Leh, the district is facing a shortage of 42 officials.
This information was revealed by the J&K Government on Saturday.
In a written reply to Congress man Nawang Rigzin Jora, the revenue ministry informed the lower the house of state legislature that 42 gazetted and non-gazetted posts are lying vacant in Leh district of Ladakh.
The ministry said that posts lying vacant include 03 Tehsildars; 07 NT; 03 WBN; 06 Jr Stenographers; 03 Accounts Asstt; 07 Jr Assistants and 16 Patwaris.
The government added that the requisite man-power has been sanctioned but the same are yet to be referred to the recruiting agencies.
