Speaker Kavinder Gupta adjourned the lower house of state legislature on Friday at 11:05 for 15 minutes.

Opposition members led by National Conference are demanding revocation of SRO 105.

However, Jammu and Kashmir Government Friday said that “no non-state subject is eligible” for tendering under SRO 105.

Opposition lawmakers have created ruckus in the house seeking immediate revocation of the SRO 105. The order is about mining in state.

“No Non-State Subject is eligible to bid for mining in Jammu and Kashmir under SRO 105,” Minister for Industries, Chandra Prakash informed the house.

However, Opposition members were joined by ruling BJP lawmakers who sought revocation of the order.

The order has increased the fee on the miners which in turn has put burden on the people as the rates of sand, bricks and stones have increased manifold.

“This is a loot-maar sarkar,” the opposition members said.
