Bandipora police has solved three kidnapping cases in the shortest time and arrested two kidnappers, police said in a statement issued here.
On 27th of December 2016, Police Station Pethkote received a complaint from Farooq Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Aziz resident of Badebait Mantirigam stating that his daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by Saqib Rashid Yatoo son of Abdul Rashid resident of Banihal. A case FIR number 43 /2016 under section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station Pathkote and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, a police party under the supervision of SHO Police Station Pethkote raided a number of places to nab the kidnapper. After sustained efforts the kidnapper was arrested and the girl was recovered. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents.
On 11th of January of the instant year, one Mohammad Rafiq Khuroo son of Sona-ul-lah Khuroo resident of Kehnoosa lodged a complaint in Police Post Aloosa which stated that his daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by Nisar Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Kabir resident of Tresal, Pulwama. A case FIR number 01/2-17 under section 363 RPC was lodged and investigation was set into motion.
To nab the accused and to recover the kidnapee, a team was constituted under the supervision of IC PP Aloosa. The team raided a number of places and the girl was recovered in 24 hours. However, the accused is still on large and efforts are on to nab him.
On 12th of January 2017, a complaint was received by Police Station Aragam from one Ghulam Qadir Sofi son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Brar which stated that his daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by Hilal Ahmad Fafoo son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Aloosa Ghat. On this information a case FIR number 01/2017 under section 363 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, a team under the supervision of SHO Police Station Aragam recovered the girl and arrested the kidnapper in less than 12 hours. The girl was handed over to her parent after completion of legal rites.
