Inspector General of Police Kashmir Range Tuesday claimed that the Bemina Fidayeen attack mystery has been solved in the least possible time using the best quality investigation. Kashmir police chief, Abdul Gani Mir said that all the four involved in the attack have been arrested.
IG, during a press conference said that the arrestees include Mohammad Zubair alias Talha (26) resident of Chak No 104, Multan (Pakistan), Bashir Ahmad [email protected] son of Mir Zaman Mirresident of Uri, Parandeep Singh of Baramulla and Mukhtar Shah. Bashir and Mukhtar according to IG are the released militants while as Parandeep Singh is a government employee. Zubair was captured by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Srinagar District Police from his hideout on March 14.
The Bemina Fidayeen Attack took place on March 13. Five CRPF men and two Fidayeen militants were killed in the attack. IG identified the slain militants as Saif resident of Deragazi Khan, Pakistan and Hyder resident of Multan Pakistan.
“We have arrested all the four actors, seized the vehicle used in the crime and completed the investigation fully,” IG J&K Police said. “We have cracked this case in less in the least possible time using the best quality investigation.”
Mir said that the Bemina Fidayeen attack was carried out “to disrupt the normal life” of Kashmir and it was carried out on the directions of Lashkar operational commanders, Ahmad Bhai and Inees Bilal. He said that it was a handiwork of three Pakistani militants who had in filtered during January February this year.
IG, Kashmir said that during the investigation, arms and ammunition in large quantity have been recovered upon disclosures made by the arrested militants. These include 02 AK 47’s with 08 Magazines, 240 AK rounds, 01 UBGL,40 Rifle Grenades, 02 Pouches, 02 wireless sets, 02 Time Bombs (Charge, Timer and Detonators), Pencil Cell batteries and transparent poly- pack containing “Made in Pakistan” medicines and ointment.
