SRINAGAR: Bhartiya Janta Party Media Incharge Kashmir, Adv Sajid Yousuf Shah on Friday welcomed the decision to initiate a magisterial enquiry into the concerns raised by the family of the individual killed in the Arhama Ganderbal encounter.
In a statement, he termed the move as a constructive and necessary step, stressing that the enquiry must be conducted in a fair, transparent and time-bound manner.
He said that ensuring accountability and upholding justice will strengthen public trust and reaffirm confidence in due process.
Earlier, the Army had stated that a militant was killed during an encounter in the Arhama forest area of Ganderbal district, prompting calls for a thorough investigation to maintain transparency and accountability
