An explosive device exploded at the yesterday’s encounter site at Mandoora, Tral, in south Kashmir, while locals were clearing the debris resulting in injuring three persons.

 The injured have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Bhat Son of Gulam Nabi Bhat , Khurshid Ahmad Bhat Son of Abdul Rehman and a minor, all residents of Mandoora, Tral.

The injured were referred to SKIMS Srinagar from Tral hospital, local sources said.

Meanwhile, a police statement said that the general people were cautioned not to venture near the place where an encounter took place yesterday at Mandoora Tral. Police said that Imam of the local Masque was also made to announce after the Issha Nimaz yesterday and Fajar Nuimaz today about the dangers from fiddling with the debris and people were advised not to go near the site till it is not fully sanitized by the B.D Squad of the police.

 “However, before the B.D Squad could sanitize the spot, few people disturbed the debris as a result of which a minor explosion took place in which three persons Mohammad Shafi, Khurshid Ahmad and a boy Wasif got minor injuries,” police statement said adding they are being treated in Tral Hospital.
