SRINAGAR: A woman has been arrested for her alleged involvement in the murder of her husband and dumping his body in a bag in the Chenani area of Udhampur, police said on Sunday.
According to a report by Excelsior, a woman and her son have also been arrested in connection with the case.
The incident came to light on Thursday when a foul-smelling bag was found hidden under stones in Laddha village. Upon inspection, police found a decomposed male body inside, later identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Chulna-Panchari.
During investigation, police suspected Kumar’s wife, Nisha Devi, her sister-in-law Kanta Devi, and her son Joginder of Nargela village. All three were taken into custody and confessed to the crime, citing a personal domestic dispute as the motive, police said.
