SRINAGAR: The body of a man was recovered from the Dul Dam area in Kishtwar on Tuesday, officials said.
An official stated that the recovery was carried out by a joint team comprising the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Red Cross Kishtwar, and local police personnel. The police chowki in-charge was also present at the site during the operation.
The deceased has been identified as Bilal Ahmad, a resident of Sigdi village, who had been missing for several months from the Kiru Power Project area.
After completing the necessary formalities at the site, the body was transported to District Hospital Kishtwar for medico-legal procedures.
Further investigations have been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. (KNC)
