SRINAGAR: A body was recovered from the Salal Dam area of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.
According to officials, locals spotted the body in the dam area and informed the concerned authorities.
The deceased has not yet been identified, they said, adding that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the recovery has been initiated.
The body was subsequently shifted for necessary legal formalities, officials said.
