It was other way around. If the recommendations of the committee constituted to enquire mysterious ‘escape’ in August this year are implemented, Jail Superintendent Bahadur Singh and Havaldar Ganesh Dass stand to lose their jobs and have an FIR registered against them, for their alleged role in taking the under trail out of the jail premises in an unauthorized manner and giving him a chance to escape from the jail. Failed to trace the Sohan yet, the authorities may be in dilemma, as there are 124 prisoners in the jail and among them 50 are militants.

Family says the feud turned into disaster. They alleged that their daughter was gang raped by none other than their neighbours. The girl was kidnapped on November 10, by four persons from her home in a red Santro car and was taken to Liro, Kulgam. She was allegedly gang-raped by her kidnappers and then dropped naked in a nearby Nallah. It triggered protests. Though most if the accused are at large, one Javid Rather has been arrested. An FIR 345/2012 under section: 366, 376, 109 RPC stands registered.

Next week NTPC is going to make history, being the first public sector undertaking to implement UDAAN, a central government initiative. The scheme, specially designed for J&K is aimed at imparting skills to J&K youth to help them with their careers. A 36 week training programme in thermal power plan engineering would engage 144 youngsters from J&K in equal proportion and each would be given stipend of Rs 2500. Initially NTPC would train 200 youths for five years. After done with programme, NTPC would send them to four different locations – Rihand, Singrauli, Vindhyachal and Talcher.

SANATNAGAR

Sajad LoneSajjad Lone jumped to the unionist politics to recreate his identity but the election commission has seemingly de-recognized his symbol. Newspapers reported, Sajjad has filed petition in the Srinagar bench of the High Court challenging the Election Commission decision. Sajjad who unsuccessfully fought Parliamentary elections is readying for local body polls. But when Sajjad goes to court seeking restoration of his party symbol, will Bilal, the elder Lone oppose. Lone bothers jointly own Peoples Conference and they are apparently on the two sides of the ideological divide.
